"No asset value" is highly debatable. I estimate that my collection is probably worth...

... equal to what I have invested.

There are many models that are virtually worthless. However, those models are offset by the items whose value has realized a significant increase and worth many times what I paid. I have others still where the value is a neutral net gain/loss. I've done some pricing estimates (based on sold items on eBay) and my research suggests the value of the entire collection is probably worth equal to what I paid.

Marlowe I agree some are worthless and some are worth 3-4+ times what I paid

Take my Cadillac from DM in 1:12. I know for a fact that IF i put it up for sale for a BIN of $900 I WILL get a buyer. It might not be the first shot but I have seen this model sell for $700 on a slow day and over $1200 at other times. The norm seems to be $750-$900 any day of the week That said being I paid $520 thats not too shabby!
