I hope none of you old folks just had a flashback to Ronnie and the Daytonas. This is a little '86 Ferrari GTO in Pioneer livery for the Monte Carlo event of that year. For those of you that would like more 1/24 Ferraris on your shelves and can, for a couple of bucks and elbow grease, I recommend searching for these old Bburago kits. Most of them are fairly accurate and the most I ever had to reach into the parts bin was for a wheel/tire swap on an F40 from a Fujimi plastic kit. The Cartograph decals ( this model was just blue without them) are just the best out there... they're very forgiving and you can adapt them to the most daunting compound curves and louvers as you can see. The last pics show a bone stock model in red as a comparison. Forgive these ancient pics.
we see ancient pictures each day in the bathroom mirror.......this ultra precise decal application is something a home modeler will RARELY see before them
Or 'after' either.
Love your pics Rich. The GTO is one of the Ferrari designs I like best !

I did! Back in the day, I had all the 'car guy' records and knew all the words. I had the album that this song came from, those of the Beach Boys, Rip Chords, Jan & Dean; man, just name them. And of course, now, I'll have this song stuck in my head all day.......
Little GTO
You're really lookin' fine
Three deuces and a four-speed
And a three-eighty-nine
Listen to her tachin' up now
Listen to her whine
C'mon and turn it on, wind it up, blow it out, GTO.........
