beautiful CMC Mercedes, I have the red one.

Heres my 1/24 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen made from a kit. The very early history of motoring is fascinating. Incredible creativity and resourcefulness by the pioneers. I'd imagine some of you would have seen the History Channel car history show from a couple of years ago, that featured Bertha, Karls wife taking the Motorwagen on a promotional drive to try and drum up business? I think from memory she had to get petrol from a pharmacy?

Great comparison Tony, thanks.

GREAT model Geoff!

And yes, I, too, saw that show. Bertha Benz stopped in an apothecary in Wiesloch, Germany and bought ligroin solvent from the pharmacist so that she could continue her journey.
