Ed, I have a few observations on the list......

Did Doug Ford have anything to do with selecting the cars..I noticed Lincoln leads the list with eight selections while Packard follows-up with six. Somehow I would have thought that would have been reversed.

Thre are thirty-two cars listed...twenty are from the '30's. Guess that proves when the best design work was done.

There are many cars I would like to see such as the

1940 Ford coupe
1949 Mercury
1953 Chevrolet Corvette
1956 Chrysler 300B
1957 Chrysler 300C
1957 Ford Thunderbird

That's just a few.....

Thank you, Dan for adding the 56-57 Chrysler 300's.

The 56 Chrysler 300B was a true muscle car, yet it was a gentleman's muscle car. The flowing lines of the car were high fashion clothing for the tremendous power flowing from the 354 cu.in. HiPo HEMI. The 57 raised the bar on high performance, style, and elegance. Grin

And the score is:

Auburn/Cord/Duesenberg leads the list with 9 entries. Ford is next with 8 (all Lincolns), followed by GM - represented by Cadillac, Buick and Chevrolet (Corvette). Two for Chrysler and one each for Peeless and Studebaker. Out of 33 cars, 20 were from the thirties, six from the fories (amazing since it was only half a decade of automobile production), only 3 form the 1950's and 4 from the sixties. I would have aded the Studebaker Avanti to the list and perhaps a Packard Darrin.

Fred, Yes, I have trouble with the lack of Packards. I think a Packard-Darrin could easily relpace the Peerless on that list, not to mention any of the Lincolns.

No doubt we will soon hear from Doug LOL.

Call me crazy but I think the '56 Chrysler looks better than the '57.

It's just my opinion but I like the grille and rear view more on the '56.

Dan, I agree. I like the front and rear of the 56 better, too. But,

I like the sides of the 57. I'm so fickle. :o)

Dan, you are correct. But, I, too, would like to see more Packards, and, would trade some of those Lincolns for them. Especially a Packard Darrin or Clipper of the early '40's

Ah Doug, you were supposed to get all crazy on me...you're no fun.

I would like to see a couple of Lincolns...the 52-55 style and the older 49-51 type.

Why the Packard-Darrin was left off that list is pretty hard to fathom. For me, The Darrin was the pick of the litter when it comes to Packards and that's saying a lot.
