A really great concept by Chrysler to use the stripped down tudor Belvedere with the smallest engine a 383 V8 4bbl with 440 heads. While I wasn't all that thrilled with constantly resetting the dual point ignition, I loved having mechanical secondaries which kicked in at a certain point when depressing the gas pedal. (I loved the sound of the secondaries started sucking air).

This model has a few extras including of course the 426 Hemi Head engine, it's a hardtop rather than a poster, and a vinyl top.

That's a very nice model, one that I'm glad to have.

Great photos Rich! DM really rendered some mighty MOPAR's for we 'common men'. And some muscle MOPAR's for muscle car men too!

Rich:  Great photos of a great Mopar.  I was a big fan of Mopars as a kid growing up.  And my first car was a 68 Dodge Dart.  Unfortunately it only had a 170 cubic in slant 6.  But I was still a Mopar fan.

@carsman1958 Right after that slant six was introduced in '59, there was so much potential seen in that engine that all kinds of performance parts followed soon after. My buddy bought a '60 or 61 Valiant and immediately put on a 4 bbl carb and new intake manifold. Later went to a 3/4 cam and some headers with a dump valve. I don't remember what else he did, but it was one helluva sleeper car. The cops just basically ignored him. For that fact alone, I was pretty jealous. LOL
