It's goofy cool: The Mattel Twin Mill Corvette with motors, lights and sound. Plug it into the checkered base of its base with dust cover and, on command the 'shaking' engines fire up one at a time, the canopy opens electronically and the headlamps and sequential tail light bar light up. It's fun for the feeble-minded. LOL

Very cool concept machine. Great on gas economy; shut down one engine and run inexpensively on the other. Terrific as an around-town vehicle for grocery shopping (unless you're hungry) but needs a cup holder.  LOL!

GREAT pics Rich!

Kinda wondered, would you need to stick your head outside the drivers side window to see where you are going?

It is one hellva model, thanks Rich

@geoff-jowett or drive with the canopy open... there's no side windows. A 1:1 was built for Mattel and is driveable.

I have this one, but mine is Silver.  How many different colors were made.  I think I have seen a green one as well.

It is a cool looking model, I looked at one at a model show recently. Not really my kind of model, but I was still intrigued by it. I remember my brother having one in small form when we were kids.

@carsman1958 Originally, the metallic green was the non-mechanized model. I don't know anything about re-issues in other colors.

Haven't seen a green or silver but eBay currently has the red version and a combo 1/24th & 1/64th in yellow/gold.
