A little late posting as I had to go out and shovel 5 inches of that white crap that falls from the sky.  Winter gets so old so fast!  Anyway as I shipped my Hot Chocolate (to warm up after being outside), I ventured in to the Car Room to see which car would capture my catch my eyes and grab my hearth this morning.

I guess because I was thinking getting warm, the  HOT RED of Danbury Mint's 1958 Plymouth all but jumped off the shelf at me.  And hey, right up front let's be honest, this '58 Plymouth Fury is as normal a '58 Plymouth Fury as a '58 Plymouth Fury could be...EXCEPT, Danbury Mint in a genius marketing attempt to grab a few novelty buyers, placed the license plate "COB 241" on it, dubbed it "CHRISTINE" from Stephen King's 1983 movie under the same title.  The car in the movie was a Killer, and reality is so was DM's beautiful replica.  Only it was a Killer as a great model.  In fact, I like it better than DM's other two color versions of their '58 Plymouth's, one a Fury, the other a Belvedere.

I of course bought this car because it was a beautiful '58 Plymouth Fury and in a classic Red period correct color, and to me that license plate is of no consequence.

As a REAL car, the '58 Plymouth Fury sold new for $2,927.  It embodied Chrysler's "Forward Look" and "Suddenly it's 1960" theme to a tee.

George, I along with the elves also like this model. I feel for you shoveling snow. Years ago I had a job opportunity to move south and to this day have never regretted the decision. I used to put my 1/1 cars away in October and get them out at the end of March...down here I can drive them twelve months of the year..oh and by the way the forecast for today is periods of light rain with a high of 67 degrees and tomorrow 75. Looking out the  back window the Knock Out Roses are in full bloom.

LOL, you really know how to hurt a guy don't you?  Smile

I've always hated winter, but circumstances (mostly family) have always kept me here.  I do envy you though, as I am a lover of warm and sunny weather.  With my wife having health issues last year and then the pandemic, we didn't get to Florida for awhile last year and won't this year either.

The important thing is we're together.  Enjoy that 75 degree temperature Bob!
