When I came back from SEA in '71, I hooked up with an old buddy of mine who somehow escaped the draft, had a decent job and was driving around in one of these. Me? I scraped up a couple of hundred and was commuting in a '64 Biscayne 6 cylinder with (UGH!) Powerglide. Anyway, it was hard for me to contain my jealousy cruising in that gorgeous convertible. 

What an absolute delight this DM '65 T-Bird model is with it's dazzling details and beautiful fit and finish. There's so much to look at and marvel over.

Many times a model is credited with looking exactly like the 1/1...in this case it totally applies. Your pictures further enhance the belief.
