When I came back from SEA in '71, I hooked up with an old buddy of mine who somehow escaped the draft, had a decent job and was driving around in one of these. Me? I scraped up a couple of hundred and was commuting in a '64 Biscayne 6 cylinder with (UGH!) Powerglide. Anyway, it was hard for me to contain my jealousy cruising in that gorgeous convertible.
What an absolute delight this DM '65 T-Bird model is with it's dazzling details and beautiful fit and finish. There's so much to look at and marvel over.
Fantastic pics of one of DM's best, for sure.
Many times a model is credited with looking exactly like the 1/1...in this case it totally applies. Your pictures further enhance the belief.
DM at its best. The 64 hardtop is a must have also.
What a gem!

I wish I could find one on eBay.
Mark I agree with you regarding the 64 hardtop.
