Like GM, I always that DM had their own truck division. All of their truck models were so well done in fit, finish and parts count. This early '56  DM Ford F-100 V8 Pickup Truck already showed great promise of things to come.

One of my favorite DM trucks because it came with black wall tires. I don't remember seeing very many '50s trucks with wide white walls. I reversed a few of mine to black walls.

@john-shamblin In the 50s, white walls were expensive. Nobody would pay extra to put them on a utility vehicle.
