Color coat is dry, notice satin finish.

Final two coast of clear sprayed and looks nice and glossy.
Time to clean the gun again! So, we started painting around 1:00 Pacific Time and finished around 4:00. Not too bad! However, I actually started getting things ready at 8:30 this morning. I hope you enjoyed painting with me in real time! Finished products coming soon. Well, at least one of 'em! Thanks!
Looks like it will eventually be one beautiful Oldsmobile. I love yellow/black two-tone schemes on '50s cars. Seeing your work, makes me dream.

Actually George, I'm building four Oldsmobiles. I primed four cars but only had color for two. The parts I painted are for two different cars. I'm sure you will be surprised!

Outstanding tutorial Pete. Your painting skills produce models that are superb in every way.
thank you Pete, for engaging in this massive effort......"showing your work" takes such an inordinate amount of time.......and it looks as if your resulting product will accurately reflect the knowledge and skill going into it 😎
Thank you JB. I always wanted to try a tutorial on the painting process in “real time”. Most of the time spent is doing the prep work, cleaning the work space, prepping and mounting the parts, cleaning the gun, etc. I’m glad you found it interesting!
