this body style was one of very first favorite cars. They sold over here as the Ford Customline, so I would have been say 5-10 years old, 1955 to 1960. The other favorite was the MGA. I'm sure I'm thinking aren't these machines great hey? Beautiful! And do they move!

Added the convertible about a week ago. Great colour contrast with the hardtop.

Geoff, I'm envious, lol. I missed both as I was focused on building my muscle car collection at the time. Those are gorgeous. 🤑💯

Might be a while Tony. Was bidding on this at one stage. Sale price and postage would have cost about $450Aust to land here! Way too much for me. Strange market. This sells for $205, my 55 cost $99. Only subtle design features between the actual cars and we would imagine similar model production numbers. Both models MIB condition.

Great pics and addition to your shelves.  Anytime a new model is added, it feels like Christmas morning.

Yeah, especially on eBay, patience pays. Best of luck Geoff!

@perrone1 I agree, I've been beat out plenty of times and had to wait patiently to get the models I wanted, "for a fair price". There are ones I'd really love to have, but for me at least, I don't buy for future resale value, I buy what I like, but I won't pay crazy prices. 😊

hear hear sir!

I still find it interesting that the market will value near identical models, produced and sold in very similar circumstances so differently, in this case double the price. Often happens with convertibles and hardtops of the same car too
