I'm always prattling on about being a social history of the car enthusiast. Great article from our leading daily newspapers car section, Drive. Discusses the cultural history of the panel van and its demise. Fair amount of 'social' along with cultural history played out here too. And here's a couple of shots of DDA's great 1/24 Sandman.

Great looking panel van and terrific article. I swear the front end of the van is a Chevy Monte Carlo!

When I was about thirteen, a neighbor had a electrician business with three 1950 Chevrolet panel vans. Each year he would pay me to Simonize them. If you ever used Simonize you know that it was hard to work with. It was through this experience that I learned to hate panel vans because of their long roofs and side panels.

@perrone1 That is sweet, Tony, looks like it could also be a 71/72 Chevelle too.😊

To me the grille looks like the Monte Carlo, but the headlights and the turn signals look like the 71-72 Chevelle.

Gentlemen here are a few other colors. As mentioned previously DDA are committed to continuing to produce quality 1/24, and are a manufacturer that listens. All their models are available on the Australian ebay at a significant discount for U.S. buyers because of the current exchange rate.
