one of the Danbury Mint C-10 game trucks vs a current production First Gear Chevy C10
DM 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Pickup 1/24
First Gear 1971 Chevrolet C-10 Pickup 1/25
it`s no surprise that the trim level on the DM `72 is superior to that of the FG `71........what did surprise me was the length of the FG unit,in that it was a wee bit LONGER than the DM.....there were a handful of packages of varying trim level,so maybe that accounts for it
the FG displays and plays well with it`s older production DM......see if you agree

Â
@john-barry JB, regarding the lengths, it looks like the DM has a 6 foot bed and the FG has an 8 footer.

Thanks Pat......now that you`ve pointed it out, that seems entirely certain
Â
.......and it probably never would have occurred to me 🤨Â
That FG sure looks mighty close to 1/24 scale judging by your overhead pic. Â Nice trucks and pictures JB.Â
Nice trucks John. The C-10 was my daughter’s first truck, on old but reliable and fun vehicle.

Thank you David.......I have an unproven theory, that in many of the movies with old codgers besting young hoodlums,"Old Lions" etc,the hero`s chosen mode of transportation is a windows perpetually rolled down, vintage Chevy C-10
I hope your daughter rode her C-10 accompanied with a cowboy hat,an orangutan,or a wise hound dog ........

@david-vandermeer...... very nice David.............. that Dalmatian has done some contract work for me in the recent past.....he had to be let go after eating one of our trained bunnies.......went on to steal the featured model car, then crashed it on the RR tracks after draining my good napoleon brandy
