Blaze the Dalmatian decides to retire from the comparatively sedentary life of a Fire Department mascot and become the sidekick of rodeo clown Bully Bob. He is excited to think he will be trading up from riding in the lumbering fire truck to riding shotgun in Bully Bob's sporty red Cobra while travelling the rodeo circuit. The physically fit Blaze trains impressively for his new position of bull teaser/distracter, deftly using Bully Bob's trademark barrels as props and points of refuge. Jaws the Pit Bull candidate watches sullenly from the sidelines; realizing that he has no hope of competing with this performance. In a fit of puppyish frustration Jaws decides to leave his opinion of the whole competition process, before lifting his leg on the Cobra's tire as he leaves.
