You never seem to run out of 1:1 cars. How many do you have in your collection?

Nice. The '64 looked exceptionally long, low and smooth with skirts.

Nice color combo, but I'm partial to the next generation Galaxys and LTDs (65-67) 1965 the All new body style that was more squared off with the stacked headlights. Come to think of it it's amazing how often car companies retooled for all new designs back then! The Galaxies went 65-7, then 68 was a stand alone year, then 69-70, 71-72, 73-74, 75-78 counting it became LTD and galaxy was lost by 78.

Carl - Here is the count as of today in my PB albums.

Car images by marque (not including car show pics): 15,685

Considering nearly all of those include 12 pics +/- per car:
Driver/Passenger Front Qtr - 2
Driver/Passenger Side - 2
Straight in Front/Rear - 2
Engine Bay/Dash/Front & Rear Seats - 4
Driver/Passenger Rear Qtr - 2

So, divide 15,685 by 12 gives 1,307

To include car show pics, usually 1 or 2 pics per car, you could add another 500 pics.

It has taken approx 3 years to collect all of these.

Marlowe, I started out by just getting one pic per car.

Two things made me expand. One, I usually had a very hard time deciding which pic I wanted one of. And two, someone always wants to see another angle, the interior, the engine bay of a one pic post and by that time I couldn't get the other pics. That's why the 12 of each car.

Doug we always seem to have similar tastes! Did you like the .....

75-78 Chrysler Imperials and New Yorkers with the tufted seats, pointy water fall grille and hideaway lights? AS a preteen and teen I thought they were the most beautiful car available next to the Lincoln Marks and Eldorados Smile Mom almost bought a triple white one with red dash back around 82. It was a 77 and was in mint condition. I was so excited when she at least went with me to look at it but as things have it she kept driving her 68 Cadillac LOL oh well ๐Ÿ˜‰ Least the Caddy had way more up and go with its 472 engine!

YES! Those 74/75 Imperials and 76-78 New Yorkers were so beautiful.

They were among my faves in the 70's, especially the front end. The combo of the real chrome (not plastic) waterfall grill and covered h/l's was just so classy. The 78 NY'er was the last American car with a real chrome grill. BTW, NEO is planning a 75 Imperial 4 dr ht. I will be getting that one.

Really? VERY cool Doug!

Your Mom was a GEM! And she had good taste in cars! Those Oldsmobiles rode great. I remember when GM downsized their cars in 77 they got their act together in terms of rattles and noise control and the 77-early 80s full size GM cars rode like a cloud and were nice, quiet and tight (least for several years LOL). I also liked the 74-76 Olds ninety eight regencys, remember those? with the loose tufted pillowy seat design and wheel skirts. In fact if Moms was a Regency I believe they still used the Pillowy tufted seats in the 77-79s. I always called those Oldsmollacs they looked like Cadillacs to my eyes (they were the same chassis and front ends so..)
