PICS (1:1) Let's Eat and Get Gas.......Part 35.......
I'm gonna be out on the road for work all day, so I'll be catching my meals where I can. Even after all the Track Food yesterday, my stomach was still growling this morning.
We'll stop into Selma's for some of her great coffee and a Danish for breakfast. In other parts of the country this kind of place might have been known as a coffee shop, but to those of us who grew up in the New York City area in the '40's, '50's and '60's, they will always be "Lunchonettes".....

Don't let your first impression fool you. Even though Tom's Lunch is on the wrong side of town, he puts out a great plate of food, and it's very affordable, too.

Covering lots of ground today, so I'll have to fill up twice. I know a couple of stations where the price is right, but there's a trade off.....
Not exactly "Super Service".....

Don't know where Malcolm Nelson buys his fuel, but it's cheap enough and "Ping Proof"!...........

Not sure if I’ll have a malted or an egg cream with my pretzel. Great pics Gene, keep them coming.

Yeah, man! Now THAT'S the Breakfast of Champions!
The way the cars are parked make Tom’s establishment look rather sinister
Looks like trams went past his front door
Can't say enough about your pictures....look forwrd to them every day. Where do you find them?
All over the web, Don. Most big city libraries have great online photo archives.
At those prices, I think Tom had to have some other "business" going in and out the back door, LOL!
Thanks for the info.
Very worrying!!
#5 Where is Malcom it looks more like the Fonz (Foot on bumper) and David Nelson
That might be Malcom in pix #4?
LOL! Malcolm on the left in pic #5, David. Just a LITTLE before Fonzie and D. Nelson's time!
I thought you might get a Chuckle out of that? Was Malcom a relative or is this an Internet find?
