Gene I understand most people don't like the 54 but to me
It looks much smaller, sleeker, lighter and a little sportier than the 53. Don't ever remember seeing one in person (I was born in Dec 1953) until, attending a Buick show in the mid eighties at the GM Tech Center.
I dont think the 54 sold very well because of the wild for 1954 design, especially the wheel scallopes, the short deck and tail light design. Some say Harley Earl tried to copy a jet plane on the back end design, causing designers to rush a new look for the 54 model year.
Gene, do you know if it is the same body and chassis as the 53?
