Mark, The 54 Skylark was built on the smaller Special/Century chassis while the 53 was built on the Super/Roadmaster chassis.

The only thing I really don't like is the tacked on tail lights. They just don't seem to be part of the design element of the car, just tacked on. Other than that I like the rest of the car.

After this posting its going to the dungeon with his brothers.

I can see where this is headed. So after this posting I'll just refrain from posting pics of this car. I questioned myself about posting pics of this car here knowing how it is always received. I wish I had listened to myself.

BTW...I like the car. Painted coves, tacked on tail lights and all.

If this belongs in the dungeon, show me the brothers!!

I agree with Doug...Fugly...but the color combo is fantastic and Marlowe the photoshop work is A+++

Larry, not at all! Look at the conversation and participation that this car has sparked.

It would seem that "dungeon" cars do generate a lot of interest albeit not all favorative. Even still, I think all participation, postive or negative is a good thing.

DM has to make it back to do this one. I also want a '54 Century hardtop because

I like the stock tail lights better than these big glitzy tack-ons.

I've always liked the grille and headlights of '54 Buicks.

I think the 1954 Buick Skylark is the single best design of all Skylarks. I want one!
