George, around here zoning laws.......
specifically forbid bathtubs in parking lots!
Not the best pic I've seen...
...these cars, the '41-'47 Darrin designed Clippers were really gorgeous. I think the angle of the shot as well as the two tone combo don't play well here. I prefer the skirts, they add to the streamlined effect quite nicely, and are removable for those who prefer that. I think the '42 Senior (Custom Super 180), maybe even the two door fastback, would be outrageous in 1:24th...make mine either Packard (Navy) blue, or deep burgundy!
Thats a beauty....folks had a 46 Clipper...go DM
Hey, Robert, don't blame me.........
I'm not the photographer here!
I, also, prefer the skirts on both the four door and the Custom Clipper Club Sedan posted that I posted above. Wicked sleek and besides, it would add another cool removable feature on the 1/24!
Although I have vowed to cut back on die cast purchases in the coming year,
I would stretch for almost all of the cars pictured in this thread. Gorgeous!
LOL Gene!

In my case, ability takes precedence over desire.
I know we need more 4 doors and then there are the Station Wagons
Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' 'bout.
Frank, You Are Where I Was On the Eve of 2009...
I resolved to limit myself to one new car a month. Twenty cars later I find myself wondering what happened. Hope you're better at belt-tightening than I am! Good luck.
oh, Gene, I wouldn't blame you!
You seem like a kindred spirit! I know you didn't take that snappy...I was just commenting on the appearance of that particular car, which isn't too flattering.
The '41-'47 Clippers were really gorgeous and typify that grand Forties style.
