Pics...55 Chevys one more time: Altered diecasts.

This 55 Bel Air was a Fire Chief car I wanted to turn into a custom I might have done on a 1/1 as a much younger person. The wheel and tires are from a parts seller on ebay.
I was able to lower the front by cutting off the original wheels at the spindle and super gluing the rallys and rwl tires as low as possible while maintaining rotating and steering.

Up front I removed the center section of the bumper guard and blacked out the grille.

Lowered car compared to stock. I've had this one 25 years!

Any car with a V8 needs dual exhausts.

Seats are from a '57. I think the color matches the darker red of the Fire Chief car.

You did a nice job Dave, I also altered the chief's issue - but only removed the decals and added dual exhaust. Who ever heard of a fire chief driving a two door HT with fender skirts - hollywood maybe?

You guyz are amazing. I'd screw up even a minor modification.
