Wednesday model
Not a huge Ford fan. The only 1:1 Ford I ever bought was a Ford Ranger pickup, and it was actually built by Mazda. I have a few Ford models and this ain't one of my favorites, but it's well done and a little unusual. I didn't know they did vinyl tops back then.

I dont mind this model at all. It's hard to love though. I preferre the green version but of Ford's crestliner, but only because I think that this is the only one I ever saw until much latter when I saw the Maroon 1:1 version for sale in a magazine.
The Crestliner was Ford's answer to the Chevy hardtop. It wouldn't be until 1951 that Ford would have the Victoria hardtop. The vinyl top was added to simulate a convertible. I have all three colors and love them all.
Bob, you beat me to the answer and you are correct. I too, have all three. All favorites!

Thanks for the Information
Bob, I assume that the Crestliner was the "top of the line" for Ford.
Double Post
For me, it is an outstanding model. One of my favorites. I have all three too.

Bob, George: what color was number 3?
Bruce, the third color was Bronze.
I agree that these models are outstanding. I have the bronze and the green. Someday will add the red one.
Have all three and agree - great issue
Optical illusion?
I don't know but maybe it's the black coves and black roof that give it that effect. Beside another model, it doesn't seem to have that appearance.
