PICS- Another cheapie I picked up that is probably the nicest '69 Chevelle in scale. FG model I picked up from their website for $24 plus shipping. It actually scales out very close to the FM '70 but is listed as 1/25.

Actually, the the cheapo you bought is closer to the 1:1 than the FM model. I'm looking at the top of the car at the rear window line.

Frank, I actually went with this one since they captured the image better than either Mint. I think it was the right call lol.

Very sharp / outstanding pics. I confess - I went sort of the other direction...

...with my choices.
I've got the DM '69 Chevelle SS / pale yellow -AND- the FM '70 Chevelle SS / cranberry red.
Love them 'both'.
And I prefer them without the vinyl-top.

My brother had a 1:1 '69 Chevelle SS-396 / 4-speed; which I drove several times. It was a blast.

LOL, I understand Billy, I liked the vinyl top on these with the unique wave trim along the sail panel. I still need to BMF that trim.

Looks slightly jacked up in back...

... I remember that was a popular look back then. I even did it to Mom's station wagon.

I have this one as well. Really liked the stance and First Gear knocked this one out of the park. They have made a few exceptional examples of Vehicles for various National Companies. A lot like what Crown premiums did for years.

And I love the FG-stuff too. Got a '69 Camaro + a couple Chevy pickups.

Factory air shocks John lol. You did see a lot with a little rake to them back in the day so it doesn't look out of place. I had originally thought about lowering the rear but the more I looked at it the more I liked it as is.

Likewise Billy, I have this Chevelle, the '66 GTO and '66 427 Fairlane GT, all very well done.

Back in the day a lot of guys used a giant crowbar and reverse the rear leaf springs on the car.

Road awful but you got the look.

Another FG winner is the '37 Chevy sedan hot rod / purple+silver. I've always..

... thought the engine in this '37 was worth taking note of. It's very well done for the price.
Love mine.
