Robert Bourke/Raymond Loewy Studes.
Be back on Monday.
Nice looking pack of Studebakers Steve. Have a great weekend.
Steve You sure made Jerry's day! have a great weekend where u goin?
Ewww...the '56's.....
....those last two shots there really do represent one of the worst nose jobs on any American car! I know they were preoccupied at that point with their own survival, but what were they thinking when they approved that front end...it looks like a mutation of the original Loewy design.
As I always said, the first year/generation of a design is usually the best.
I agree and it wouldnt have looked so bad if the omiited the outboard Fog Lamps
Aren't the last 2 '55's?
My 15 year old cousin had the job of driving himself and his three siblings the six miles to school every day back in late 1952 in his dad's new '53 Stude post coupe. The car was such a sensation that after the first day he would park a block or two away from the school just so he could get close to it when it was time to go home. He was not a person who craved attention! The Stude was green with WWs and wire wheel covers.
FUGLY
The last two are '55's.
Jerry - I knew you would be in on this post ... LOL !!!
I agree the '53 & '54 were beauties but I think the '55 would look great as a diecast.
That massive chrome front bumper would draw your eye, not to mention the wild paint choices.

Steve, enjoy your weekend. The '53 is long overdue in 1:24.
