Running very late, I have been very much under the weather today-another sinus infection has gotten the better of me today.
OK, "1959 Week" begins. Well it sorta did with yesterday's post as a transition from last week to this week. To officially start out the week I am going to feature the best car that brought the styling extremes of the 50s to a climax.
1959 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible, by DM issued in 2009. A 50th Anniversary Limited Edition in Dover White
OK, before we proceed, let me provide a little background on this photo shoot. A few years ago, we went on vacation to Northern Michigan (which is where I grew up) for a visit. I took a couple of models along for some, hopefully, creative photo ops.
This was one of those... Taken on the St. Ignace side of the Straits of Mackinac in the Upper Peninsula. The Mackinac Bridge is in the background.
Now this poor old Cadillac would have never been able to drive across those rocks for sure, especially since it looks like the exhaust system is coming off already. OOPs. No worries, fortunately the giant hand (not seen) was available to lift and position this old girl to her best photo positions.
Thanks for looking...

Truth in advertising eh? This is my favorite 59 Caddy model because it provided us with a top up, top down option. Thanks for the pictures John.
Great shots, John. Hope you feel better soon!
Hope you feel better soon John! Great shots of a DM car that is on my "Bucket List". I have the Pink and Red versions, but they do not have the "top up" option, so adding this White one (and I like the Black top), would be nice. It's a beauty for sure!

Feel better soon, John.
Since I already had the red '59, I passed on the preferred white issue. It's a beauty and great pics of course.

John, Even under the weather you've posted some outstanding pictures (as always), thanks for the extra effort.
