Look at it this way George...it won't get dusty in there with the windows up sitting on the shelf!

You have a point about it not getting dusty. However, none of my cars get dusty as each are in their own individual plastic cases on my shelves.

Were you able to get the 10% off? It said it applied to one order only..

Well, I forgot to enter the code so I emailed cust. svc. and asked that it be applied. We'll see.

I wasn't aware that it was a one-time thing. Even w/o the extra 10%, the $60 off is a fantastic deal that I couldn't refuse. Again, thanks so much for letting me know about the sale. I've wanted this model so bad for so long. I can now retire from collecting. Well, maybe after I get the blue 1:43 version!

Engineered

Precision starts with engineering which we have none of any more and it starts with the state of being precise or exact; exactness, the ability of a measurement to be reproduced consistently, and the number of significant digits to which a value may be measured reliably and consistency in a set of numbers in a linear equation. Engineering, well its gone and taken over by computers which cannot reproduce?Man or should I say manufacturing has taken the lazy in an effect to make a buck?Every thing you buy today will break, the old stuff you can fix, plastic, well through it away?

I agree the headlights look a little too large. However, they are not flat - they have the proper convex shape. Also, the hood ornament does appear to sit a bit too high.

Now that these things have been pointed out I decided I hate the model and will return it. Just kidding, I still love it.

The issue with the headlights ...

maybe coming from omitting a detail, the lens is enclosed in a metal ring and protruded from the chrome ring, which FM also omitted, but FM positioned the lens forward, so the effect is is better achieved. The NEO headlight looks flat as a whole, as the lens is mounted deep in the chrome ring and the overall convexity of the lens is insufficient. This could be corrected on the model by replacing the lenses.

I think you are right about the lens being maybe a little too far back in the chrome surround ring. When I look at the car from the side the curvature of the lens is apparent. Might be an easy fix for a talented modeler (and I am not one of those). It's a minor issue in my mind.
