I finally picked this one up for a decent price on eBay. The windshield popped off in transit but the seller used the insurance he purchased to refund me $100! Love this model.

I cannot disagree. I believe this distinction is shared with the '65 Convert.
Many of the most recent images from DM were so tightly fitted and cleanly detailed that they were very pleasing renditions of a real car.
anyone care to try and list some of the others?

Like the '59 Pontiac Bonneville, the '67 GTX, the '48 Chevy Fleetline,
those last few Cadillacs.

It is an exceptional model. One of DM's finest and most realistic.
but there are others, like all the ones mentioned. Include the '48 Buick Roadmasters too.

A little factoid about DM's 1936 Packard...
This model was made to exactly match the car that was photographed for reference. Still residing in the Midwest, this actual 1:1 Packard Blue V-12 Phaeton was bought brand new by Robert McCormick...one time owner and publisher of the Chicago Tribune. The car was restored to original, (light blue leather and all), and is now in a private collection of a well known collector of true Classic cars. I found out after the fact, that the radiator cap on this car was used when the car was not being shown. The winged Cormorant was put in place when the car went on display. (He said that the ornament would tear the car cover....) Too bad that wasn't included.
