PICS: My WISH LIST 1:24 die-cast car #33 1960 BUICK
I think the photos on this post sell the car better than I ever could in words. So I share my thoughts...
The '60 Buick saw a return to the trade-mark "venti-ports" (even though they were now just chrome add-on's), that were missing on the '59's. And it should be noted that the fact that they were missing on the '59 caused plenty of conversation with people asking why.
I've previously shared that the '59 was one of my all-time favorite Buick's, but right behind the love for it, I equally like the '60 version.
The refinements on the grille work and the headlight treatment were pleasantly done and the rear fins were less "Batmobile" like, but not too much so.
It was just a car that made you see it from blocks away and wish that you could own one. In 1:24 die-cast scale, this is a car that would have the much talked about "WOW FACTOR" appeal that grabs an on-looker every time they see it.
Lastly, the '60 Buick styling marked the end of a decade of dazzle, chrome, and to the moon fins. I like it for all of these reasons.

Another car I wouldn’t want as 1:1 but would welcome as a diecast!
YES-SIR-EE!!! ...'59 or '60.
I've always loved the '60 Buicks. Absolutely beautiful cars. I'd love one in 1:24.
Shhhh ... Stop talking ... The pictures are trying to say something ... Let's listen .........
First car I ever owned was a 1960 Buick Lesabre Convertible
Like any kid with his first car I loved that Buick. It was Gull Gray with red and white interior
Both please!! This 60 is magnificent.
I like it!!
Very nice indeed.
A beauty for sure. I'd go for one too.
