PICS: My WISH LIST 1:24 die-cast car #35 1954 BUICK
The last year of the "toothy" grille. And it was the first year for the "panoramic" windshield and new lower body style from the previous '50's Buick's.
Danbury Mint gave us the classic and iconic '53 Buick Skylark and later a beautiful '56 convertible. But no '54, which caught our eyes (at least mine anyway) when it was on the road back in the '50's because...well it just did. It had that affect, to be noticed and admired.
As a kid back then, I loved cars because each one seemed to have a "trademark" feature that always told you what make of car it was. Buick was no exception. With the aforementioned "toothy" grille, and then there were those interesting "venti-ports" on the front fenders, three on each fender on the lower end model and four on each signifying the high end Buick.
And how could we forget the choices we had in colors, including "two-tones" if we wanted them. Yup, the '54 Buick would be a standout in 1:24 scale, and it's always been on my personal Wish List.
With the announcement of some 1:24 entries coming our way, I think maybe I can "hold my breath" again.

Yes. The black Roadmaster would sure look nice sitting next to my DM '53 Skylark / blue.
Love the lady in black with the silver bling. Yes, would be great in 1/24!
Another TERRIFIC choice, I love Buicks and the '54 Roadmaster 2-dr. HT has a real presence about it.
