PICS - Packard
Danbury Mint - 1956 Packard Caribbean HT - Dover White/Danube Blue/Roman Copper

Beautiful '56 / great pics.
One of my favorites! I have it, as well as the black and orange convertible. Flawless.
I agree Larry! I own THIS version and it's a MUST HAVE!
This came to me as a PS Model from DM. It was nice but at the time they were producing models faster then my wallet could recover, so I had to send it back. 50s cars aren't my main focus (though I do have dozens of them), so I just had to say NO. I regretted it as soon as I mailed it back. Long story short I was later able to add this one and the RED Studebaker and I only paid $85 for each of them! So In the end I got two mint discontinued models for LESS then retail!!
I did good 😉
A real DM beauty and I'm glad I have it. With the exception of the "removable/reversible" seats, the car is flawless.

Simply beautiful. A work of art both in 1:1 and the model.

What is the problem with the reversible seat cushions?
A beautiful car in any scale, including the original 1:1! Thanks for the post.
If I recall George thinks they're silly, a PTA to install AND
He doesn't like models that have parts that need to be removed or added. There did I get it right George??? Lololol
The reversible seat cushions were standard equipment on the '56 Caribbeans. I appreciate DM including this feature in the hardtop and the convertible because this detail makes the cars more accurate, as to a unique feature. The '56 Caribbean print ads prominently display the reversible seat cushion feature. They were cloth on one side, and leather on the other.
Yes Phil, you got it right. Not in to "toy" parts for expensive diecasts.
