Neat red MB. Been on the 'Blue-Ridge'; but, mostly the 'Skyline'-highway. Dad had an Army buddy...
... who lived outside of Knoxville. 'That' is STUNNING country / area.
I can picture Jr. Johnson running moonshine thru there.
But... not in a Mercedes-Benz!!! LOL!
That also reminds me... one of the Mints should've done the '57 Fairlane from 'Thunder Road'. They goofed.

I must confess that there was an unexpected thrill in seeing that "made for" luggage stashed away like that :)).........a subconscious level emotion from the days of :"always get the prize out of the cereal before your siblings get to it!"

Totally outstanding photos. This is one of those models that I couldn't wait to arrive when I ordered it so many years ago (22 now). I can remember, like it was yesterday, how much my hands shook with anticipation when I opened it. Every time I see, I still get an instant smile.
