I just learned that the Automodello 1968 Eldo is depicted as a rear wheel drive. This shocks me and not in a good way. This is a glaring error that Walmart would get away with on a $3 item, not a company that is selling a model that costs $250 - $500. This doesn't bode well in my mind for Automodello.
Was a running change made or are they all that way?

What alerted you to this Frank ? Is there a drive shaft / differential underneath ?

please keep us informed Frank ...my chances of EVER owning such an expensive model are nil.....however,the less you have to spend,the more of a consumer advocate you tend to become.......getting what you pay for is a UNIVERSAL concern...

Well, I can tell you, color me flabbergasted. When I first read this-I didn't believe it.
But sure enough, I came home this evening, and after having a late dinner, I got out my Grecian White one, and yes sir. The chassis is definitely rear wheel drive. I have 18 of Automodello's models, and I fairly sure this is the first with chassis detail, and to blow it in this manner. Yikes.
Jim usually has an amazing attention to detail, so I'm not sure how this got by him and the guys at GM that approved it for production. Who knows...
Now to be honest, I hadn't noticed this until it was mentioned here and I am still very pleased with the model, but...
Once again, YIKES!

I could care less what is underneath. If the wheels and tires sit properly, I am good.
But for the company to make such a conspicuous error is not a good sign. Next we know, they'll be hinging the fuel filler door on the wrong side.... G A S P ...

Well on this one the fuel door isn’t left or right it’s DEAD CENTER under the plate lol
