I found this ad for the 1970 Charger and thought it would be cool to have a model in Panther Pink
I had a Crown Premium '70 Charger that had a lot of orange peel in the paint, so...
Paint stripped...
Casting cleaned up and hood pin holes filled...
Primed and painted...
And assembled:
I painted the grill black and bare metal foiled the moldings. The interior was nice, so all I did was add flocking to the carpet. The bumble bee stripe is made out of black electrical tape. It's temporary until I can figure out how to paint one on. I removed the coin bank so the trunk would be deeper. The paint is single stage, an original formula for panther pink, from a hemi Challenger convertible my friend is building. That car just came back from paint, so we're ready to start assembly on it. I'll post pics of that on the Lounge in a few days if anyone is interested.
Enjoy, and thanks for looking!
BEAUTIFUL job Pete, just remarkable!! 😎 😍
This is stunning. Such a great colour .
Regarding the Bumble Bee stripe, @lloyd-mecca posted the following recently, which I kept as it looks very useful..

Beautiful work Pete. Love the fact that you are creating a period correct work of art in a period correct color.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated!
From the ad, it appears that Dodge was targeting women with the Panther Pink color, similar to what they did with the Mod Top optioned cars in 1969.
Fine work Pete !!
Wow! Magnificent job, time, patience and ability. That engine bay really stands out.
