Tony Perrone's great photos of the DM '53 Buick Skylark I added to my collection last year.  It along with the original Blue version, the later Maroon release, and then the Red with white top and conny kit, is a nice addition.

A really great model, I added one to my collection after reading a post on D4C.

@jcarnutz, that's how I got mine.  And I was lucky enough to get two of them.

@jcarnutz. Re: your note “after reading a post on D4C. “

Do you recall the post about this car.?  What % of the special D4C offerings were DM vs FM?

 Thanks

It was a limited production model made by the Danbury Mint subject to which interpretation of who it was made for by different folks on the previous website here. It was not a model offered by the club or D4C. All of those replicas were made by Franklin Mint, in the earlier years, and an amalgam of D4C folks in conjunction with manufacturing firms in China put together by the club and, specifically, Raffi Minasian at the time. And yes, some of the assemblers were, indeed, the same as those who worked for the Automodello folks but never at the same time or on any same projects.

Very nice. The blue version was one of my early acquisitions.

In the order of their respective releases.

The "BLUE" Version

DM 53 Buick Skylark CV #1

The "MAROON" Version

DM 53 Buick Skylark (Maroon) #3

The "RED" Version (with white top and Continental Kit)

DM 53 BUICK SKYLARK (Red) with Connie Kit #1

The Limited Production "RED" version

Tony Limited Production

Each one beautiful in their own right.  Certainly a car that needs to be in any collection.

The Reef Blue version was my very first DM acquisition back in the early 1990s. Over the past few years, it developed cracked paint, particularly on the front and rear fenders.  It's not noticeable from a distance so it displays fine.  Still, I was quite  bummed out when I saw the damage.  To ease my sadness, Santa brought me a new-in-box Matador Red version w/o the butt wart this past Christmas.

@al_dorado,

OUCH!  I'm sorry to hear that your Blue Skylark as developed cracked paint on the front and rear fenders.  Prompted me to examine my model, and thankfully NO cracking or blemishes anywhere.  Glad you were able to add the Red (no butt wart) version to your collection.  It's a beauty.
