Luxury, utility, performance in that order. But, first, it has to look good - LOL!

Luxuary, Performance & Utility. Our recent purchase had to meet all three criteria.

We wanted a luxuary vehicle, that could seat up to 7 people, could tow a trailer and also had some cargo carrying capbility. Each criteria was just as important as the other. We purchased a 2008 Escalade. We purchased used so we could afford to have all three. Second vehicle = Cool Factor and Performance are the most important.

Comfort and reliability. It doesn't matter how great a car looks or how big the engine is, if the car is not comfortable and reliable.

And by comfort I mean, how it seats me when I drive it. How I can see from all angles as I drive. And for reliability I mean, it runs and starts with no issues.

If the above factors are not present, then the car is worthless. Any car I own has to be comfortable to drive and get me from point A to point B. That is all I want from a car.

For me its a combination of style, luxury/features and it has to have some Umf to it

I don't like to feel like I am going backwards when entering the highway! I agree with George too, it HAS to be reliable. I wouldn't tolerate a car that breaks down every month and is always in need of something.

Performance is first and foremost for my primary car. That means power, acceleration, ...

... handling, and braking. Luxury is most important on my second car.

These days I'm into pickups but also appreciate slinky coupes like '53 Studebaker, 70 Camaro, '70 Mustang Boss 302, '70 Pontiac Firebird and any Porsche or Ferrari coupe.
