In anticipation of a blow, Laura, Gretchen, and Pop prepare to hunker down for the duration. Billy just wants to catch that little crab that scuttled behind the ice chest.____tip-o-the-hat to "Key Largo (1948)"
No mfg marks on it anywhere….but I can tell you that, except for the trim pieces, it`s all made of wood and came on a two-pole display stand
I can easily envision this on the shelf of a seashell/T-shirt shop at the beach…..or perhaps an airport souvenir shop
great lighting effects John, I was going to ask about the boat too. I'd love to find one, any further recollections on what it is or where it came from would be appreciated. It certainly appears to be 1/24 judging by how well your characters line up with it.
I would say my boat is a cheap knock off of those produced by Dumas or Riva Aquarama (MANY of which are kits)......I found mine by searching nautical decor on `bay.......you have to weed thru SCADS of porcelain lovelies and truly awful hand-made representational stuff......it took me several months to find mine and I`ve had it for quite a long time....if budget is not an issue, you can usually find a built Dumas listed as 1/24.......do your homework,as these sales sometimes take liberties with purported scale
I appreciate the information and additional pictures JB.

A bump from May of `21........evening shots of the island and much ado about little boats
