Have it, love it.
Fantastic "tour" thanks John. Wish I'd got one of those when they were available here many years ago from FM. Hopefully one day one will come up on the local ebay.

...I looked for several years and was lucky enough to find mine for less than 200 shipped....It was missing the antenna but seemed intact otherwise....Ya gotta be careful renting these out as they seem to attract unscrupulous characters

JB your choice of the TPC is ideal. The 56 DeSoto would also be a candidate IMO.

I didn`t know until just now, but DM has several `56 DeSotos.......I own a black/gold Adventurer, but it looks as if there are better choices among the DM `56s
I have four DM 56 DeSotos. The Adventurer, a yellow/black convertible, a two tone plum hardtop and convertible.
@bob-jackman I think the "two tone plum hardtop" would get the top slot for this........I liked the plum convertible more at first, but I believe the hard top would be a more appropriate candidate
a quick not-to-scale mockup
I've got the reissued one with the gold and brown interior and awning. I didn't get the one you have because it was $195 at the time. When it disappeared I had to have one (of course). A couple of years later the reissued one cost me $295 from FM, but it was worth it. My tow vehicle is the 1961 Country Squire, on which I have the canoe from the camping 1946 Suburban on the roof.
