I assure you Guys, The most fun you can have with your money is to do something TOTALLY UNEXPECTED for somebody! That produces the GREATEST SMILES and good will one can do. It will do you Good! Try It you'll like it!

Patty please do stop in sometimes just to let us know how you are doing. Post a "Impala Patty Pix", Chat or whatever. I wish you the best of luck in your new home and the Next big adventure. Now Eat your Broccoli! I've been eating it till it runs out my ears.

Phil.....................

Why not to post some pictures of your American Classics on the Lounge?

I am sure all of us would appreciate to see some shots of your Lincoln, Toronado and T Bird. You are lucky to have so much space to store your collection.

Doug's car is real nice and my comment was not to offend him in anyway..... neither you.

So much space? LOLOL My property is 18 FEETx 100 FEET!

I live in QUEENS New York, one thing NYC dosnt have is space and land! I mentioned to you before that I live in a 1920s Tudor Townhouse. Far from space, I "make it work" Out back is a double garage 18x20 feet.(The Toronado and Mark III are in there, and the T-Bird sits under a tarp in Moms driveway in Flushing) that leaves me with a "courtyard" between the back of the house and garage thats 18 feet x about 30 feet. So THAT is my outdoor "space" LOL the house counting the basement is 1620 sq ft. As for pics of my cars ... NONE are worth showing at this point and I never claimed them to be show cars. They are cars I bought years ago that were in good driver shape and Ive tried over the years to maintain at least what was there. IN the past 12 years ive done some work to each, and all 3 are in various stages of restoration. Once done I will certainly post pictures of them if anyone has interest to see them! The cars I have arent big buck cars, so nothing to brag about here. Am I proud to own them? YES because I think each has its own merit of features and beauty to qualify to be "classics" Some my differ, I could care less they make ME happy!

I just re-read your post .....

You said your post wasnt to offend Doug or me. But was your post intended for ME or DOUG? As far as I know Doug is NOT rich or wealthy and I can and will admit I am FAR from wealthy! I work and work hard for every thing I own. I am very savvy as far as making extra money and always look for "deals" And IF you were refering to us in the above post neither Doug nor I have EGOs. If we mention our cars its because this IS a car forum and we are all car nuts here so ... From what I've read and gathered over the years your in a far better financial position them I am!

And me. As you all know I am on disability. I work about 15 hrs a week selling mens clothing.

I have worked 50+ hrs a week for 30 years. My wife makes good money now but we are far from wealthy. There were many times when the kids were little that Kim and I would raid the kids piggy banks for change to buy a gallon of milk. So yea, far from rich. My newest car is a nine year old 04 Grand Marquis.

Dougs sounds yet again we're in sync except .....

I don't have a "Kim" FYI I didn't know you were out on disability! I thought you worked in a Lumber yard or something to that line of work if memory serves me correctly. I have to do everything alone, mortgage, car repairs, home repairs, furnishings, etc... all comes out of MY salary! Im a technician in a Hospital, not a CN, MD or CEO of the hospital, but a technician so.... and Ruddy (my cat) dosn't work! LOL Should be interesting IF Dubes post was intended for us, yet wasnt meant to "insult" us! I guess when I mention my 97 Mark VIII that's interpreted as bragging too! LMAO um... yea a 16 year old lincoln thats worth about $2000 hee hee

When I worked full time I was last a contractor sales coordinator for a local lumber and building materials company. But, when the economy went south starting in the 2nd quarter of 2006 I was laid off. That was right after a car accident with my 98 Caddy Deville and two back surgeries, I applied for, and got disability.
