DMs beautiful 1947 Buick Wagon. Bought at lower price than they generally go for, and OMG! no ebay global shipping issues!

Spent about 30 minutes compiling a list of my remaining holy grails. Some I'm a chance, others very very remote possibility. Numbers aren't in any order of desirability.

My holy grail list. Would love to hear of any others from you guys.

  1. Danbury MINT 1954 Cadillac Coupe Deville
  2. Danbury Mint 1:24 1956 Buick Roadmaster Convertible
  3. Danbury Mint 1932 Ford McMullen Roadster
  4. Danbury Mint 1:24 California Kid Hot Rod
  5. Danbury Mint 1941 Chevrolet Deluxe Station Wagon
  6. Franklin Mint 1932 Rat Rod Limited Edition
  7. Spark-model - Bugatti - type 57g 3.3l winner 24h Le Mans 1937
  8. 1951 Saurer Alpenwagen bus
  9. Redline - Ferrari - tri/61 3.0l v12 winner 24h Le Mans 1961
  10. Franklin Mint 1961 Ford Country Squire Station Wagon
  11. FM 1929 Rolls Phantom silver and black
  12. 1928 Cadillac 341A Town Sedan Al Capone's car in 1:24 scale by Esval Models
  13. Danbury Mint 1:24 1932 Cadillac V-16 Fleetwood Sedan Limited Edition Blue
  14. CMC Porsche 550 Spyder 1954 Red
  15. CMC GmbH Mercedes Benz 300 SLS 1956-1957 Silver
  16. Danbury Mint 1967 Camaro RS/SS Convertible. Limited edition
  17. Danbury Mint 1930's Good Humor Ice Cream Delivery Truck
  18. Franklin Mint 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II Teal D4C LE

These 3 would not be known to many of you I'd say.

Redline - Ferrari - tri/61 3.0l v12 winner 24h Le Mans 1961. They come up for sale occasionally but always heavily overpriced

Spark-model - Bugatti - type 57g 3.3l winner 24h Le Mans 1937. There's a very overpriced one available now. I think its the 3rd I've seen for sale in about 20 years.

1951 Saurer Alpenwagen bus. From Lu's amazing collection. I've only ever seen 1 for sale.

Congrats on the '47 Wagon; a perennial favorite!! Your list of other Grail cars is impressive but, I believe, achievable! Best of luck!!

I have numbers 1,5, 10, 13 and 15 and love them all. Hope you are successful in your own search for all those on your list!

That is a beauty Geoff, I only have the green '53 Buick Estate woody and love it. Great score. As far as holy grails, I only have 4 at the moment. 3 of which I'll probably never end up with because of diecast rot issues, those 3 are the DM '69 Royal Bobcat GTO, Carousel Red '69 Firebird ant the red FM '67 RS/Z/28 Camaro.😥 The other is the red DM '68 Charger.😊

Congrats Geoff, I know exactly how you feel because coincidentally, I just got the model about a week ago. You’re lucky you got a good bullseye hood ornament, most that I’ve seen are broken off. As far as grails, I have a very small collection, by choice, than most here have. I’m trying to keep it fun because I tend to obsess over collecting and it gets kind of not fun. I don’t want for many more models, but I have some empty spots for some DM’s, the ‘31 Ford pickup in Cigarette Cream, ‘49 Olds 88, and ‘49 Ford. Good luck with yours friend!

thank you gentlemen. A lot of the fun of collecting for me is finding that elusive piece at a decent price. I seem to recall DM issues were prolific at the time the Buick wagon came out so I put off 'buying it to later'. Gotta be at least 10, maybe 15 years 'later' I land one. Truly DM at their absolute peak. The timber interior door trim is worth the price of admission!
