Years ago, there was talk of viewers rides. Pictures were show of their real cars. Found a few of my '57 Ford from long ago. Thought I would post them.Â
Didn't know I even had any photos. Kind of rough shots. Don't have any shots after the car was finished. Wish I could have gotten a model of it to build.
Shortly after I bought the car. Already made a few changes.
Â
Put in a '57 Plymouth grille. '63 Ford taillights. Dummy spotlights. Removed bumper guards.
Shaved off the hood and trunk. Called the car "Casper" beings car was white.
Oh what memories Hollis! In 1963 I was 16, in high school, and bought the same car - 1957 Ford Fairlane 500, but in black & white. Only mod was to put chrome wheels on it.Â
@geno Wow....you must have had the chicks lined up to cruise in that ride Geno!
@geno Damn, Geno. Can't believe you sold that! Sorry, but I know what you mean. Wish I never had sold my 65 Mustang fastback or my 68 Mustang convertible. Sigh.

I feel exactly the same way about my '65 Mustang fastback, '66 coupe and '67 Firebird.....and a few others.Â
Same here with the '70 Trans-Am I had for awhile in '74.Â

Thanks Jack, it was ! I wish I knew what happened to it.Â

Nice car Geno. Now I'm really feeling old because your car wasn't built until about a decade after I was in High School.
Thanks Jack, it was ! I wish I knew what happened to it.Â

Your TA post brings up a very old memory for me. When this car was first out and new in showrooms my girlfriend (first love) and I went down to the local Pontiac dealer to see this "sensation" everyone was talking about. I was absolutely awestruck by the white beauty with blue stripes and so was she.....so much that she cajoled me to no end to buy it (financed heavily of course as I was very young) so that we could take off touring around "the States". I was very tempted because we both had some dough and I was working. I finally saw reason and realized it was a pipe dream of course, but the thought of our excited discussion of that dream has always stayed with me. Kind of a "desire for freedom" teenage angst thing for us both I guess; we were nuts about one another. I wish we would had been foolish and done it...lol. A crystal clear fond memory nonetheless.

@bob-jackman lol, I didn't graduate until 1980. She was a fun car. It took 3 years of Leon hounding me to buy it back. I finally caved......had a weak moment of nostalgia for him.
