Stretch That Caddy!... [PIC]

Either President Eisenhower or the Secret Service decided to replace the stretch Lincoln Cosmopolitan with two brandy new 1956 Cadillac parade cars. Within the inner circle, they were known as either the "Queen Mary" or the "Queen Elizabeth ll". Built by Hess and Eisenhardt  Armoring Company in who worked with Lincolns and Cadillacs since 1942, the 22' long cars weighed a tad over 7000 lbs. There are extended side and rear running boards and grab handles on the trunk lid  The interiors have two jump seats and center consoles built into the seat back divider for firearms, and radio communications. Customized extending ramps were built on C-130 Hercules transporters to accommodate the limo. The cars saw service all the way through the Johnson administration relegated to a security car. This car was directly behind Kennedy's Lincoln in Dallas carrying the Secret Service agents. Both parade cars still exist today.
