Unlike Indian Brave Jay Yellowheels (aka Toronto), dimwitted farmer Duane Bahler fails to appreciate the danger he is in when confronted by the vicious wolf as he arrives to feed his livestock this chilly southern Ontario winter morning.  This is partly because he has forgotten to wear his glasses today so he initially fails to appreciate the scale of just how large and threatening the creature before him really is.  Furthermore Duane knows that carnivorous wolves don't eat hay so he thinks it surely can't be interested in what he has in hand.  Jay Yellowheels, having stopped to relieve himself, had been surprised by the wolf and has been cornered in the back of his Cameo pickup for the past hour.  As a result  he now battles hypothermia.  Jay's increasingly compromised mind wanders momentarily as he digresses briefly to admonish himself and make a mental note to not be so vain in showing off his bare chested warrior status year round in the future. As the tense standoff continues Jay experiences extreme frustration, though mixed with growing admiration, towards Duane who seems to have absolutely no fear.  Upon Duane's arrival, Jay had yelled out a warning to "back off or he will chew off a piece of your ass" but he doesn't appreciate that Duane thought the Indian brave was referring to his donkey, who had followed his instincts and fled immediately.  Jay also selfishly appreciates that Duane's perceived courage might provide just the distraction he needs in order to jump into the cab of his Chevy and save himself.  Just as it appears that the oblivious Duane will be torn to shreds a large shadow is cast over the scene and a hearty laugh reverberates through the area.  The raging wolf immediately cowers in fear while Jay and Duane stand mesmerized at their first sighting of the local legend of lore.......The Ontario Ogre!  The silver bearded giant, clothed in bib overalls and T-Shirt and holding a massive camera , smiles down kindly; acknowledging Duane's childlike wave and noticing with a smirk that the bare chested "warrior" now has a dark yellow stain growing in the crotch of his leggings.  The Ogre reaches down and gathers up the quivering wolf, inspects it curiously and is surprised to find a large tattoo on its belly.  Confused by this unnatural marking the Ogre loses interest in the wolf.  Cocking back his arm the legendary Ontario Ogre gives a mighty heave and the yelping wolf is launched far away, arcing into the horizon.  As he turns to leave the Ogre waves to the stunned witnesses, places one giant finger to his lips asking for their respectful silence regarding his discovery, then whistling a cheerful tune, slips back into the wilderness to pursue his photography hobby.

And finally the 'Omnipotent Overseer' makes a somewhat startling appearance. I do believe he found his way out of that drugstore.

At a recent stay at the Broadmoor in Colorado, my wife Shirl, and I, had our pics taken with a timber wolf. He was actually a sweet & beautiful animal.
