The Mazda K360 is a three-wheeled light truck made by Mazda. It first went on sale in 1959 in Japan. Production ended in 1969. In total, 280,000 vehicles were produced. The vehicle is 2.975 metres in length, 1.28 metres wide, 1.43 metres tall, weighs 485 kilograms, and has a top speed of 65 km/h.
"Easily the most important vehicle you've never heard of, the Mazda K360 sold in huge numbers (for its market) and represents the first steps of taken by Mazda to become part of the then-emerging economic force that is the Japanese automotive industry. It had a very simple design, but so did many automotive milestones. Most important, the K360 was a step in an evolution which would lead to greater things, and not the historical footnote that so many other three-wheelers were."
As I've mentioned many times I'm a social history of the car enthusiast. I'd suggest the K360 is an excellent example of how different societies and cultures adapt the car/vehicle to suit their needs. And with a couple of other Japanese "minis", Mazda Carol and Honda N360
Long Live the Minis!!!......That blue truck is so cool Geoff.....is it a kit build?...........you have a very artistic sense in the way you do these presentations, your arraignment of the three is an eye-catcher
gentlemen as always thank you for your encouraging comments. Yes John it is a kit. Not many around. Bought it because it was so unusual. Love to see what u could do with it!
@geoff-jowett............. Thanks for the kit box pic Geoff 😀 .....it looks as if they were used at one time to the detriment of children and small dogs 🤔Â
