@jack-dodds .....they TRIED to alert Darnold Duck to the winter coat sale on toasty warm down.....cries of "Down Darnold Down!!!" fell upon deaf ears.....so once again,Darnold faced the approaching winter without protection for his duck bits

Well, you canardly blame Darnold; he has a reputation for never turning tail and running....he's no chicken. Waddle you bet though that come frigid late January he'll be quietly widgeon he had heeded the warnings. Personally, eider ducked down low in the bull rushes, tete vert tucked under wing, rather than risk getting plucked up like that.
