The way back machine!   Here is a letter with a request to return a ballot to select what diecast cars you would like produced in 1995.  One pagers included for each choice. Scanned from Tom K's archive just today...

Was anyone collecting DM in the mid-1990s?  How many of these cars came out in 1995 or soon after?

Hey Tony @perrone1 - Were you involved with anything like this?   Pretty cool idea and photos!  I assume they were meant to be 1/24 at that suggested price....

The club had made up several "Wish Lists" for both Mints for 1/24th. The one for DM, above, resulted in a few issues:

All DM, all 1/24th: 1968 El Camino in black, 3/1/97. 1957 Merc Turnpike Cruiser issued in red & white 6/1/01. '57 Studebaker Golden Hawk issued 11/1995. '41 Chevy Deluxe Convertible in cream in 9/1997. 1969 Chevelle in yellow in 2009.

Interesting but I don't remember ever seeing this survey although I was buying FM and DM from the beginning.

@perrone1 Tony, I was going to say the same.  I knew of the 5, it is a shame about the others.

@bob-jackman Bob, I agree.  I started collecting about 1996, and do not remember them either.

I started collecting in the late 90's, but never saw anything like this. DM did the '57 Plymouth as well, although they show a '59 in the photo. I'd loved to have gotten the '59.😟
