The Delahaye Blues.....My models finally arrived today. After hearing everyone's QC issues, I held my breath. I opened the first box and it looked perfect until I looked at the driver's side and saw the rear fender trim and the middle side spear hanging out. OK... I held my breath and carefully glued them back into position. Success. At least those tiny fasteners were in place. Opened #2 and the trim looked great but underneath the ribbon was one broken exhaust pipe. It looks like it was broken at the factory and stuffed under the ribbon because it had been there long enough to wear the black from the plinth. Crap! I gotta remove the darned thing from the base without ruining anything else.I held the model by the front fenders with a T-shirt and undid the screws noticing that one of the black plastic supports that the screw goes through was missing. That was my second WTF moment. I unscrew the model and prepare to glue the broken exhaust back when I notice 4 tiny glittering things on the T-shirt. The darned top fasteners had fallen off and landed miraculously on the shirt. Let me tell you, putting those tiny metal parts back in their proper position is a job fit for a neurosurgeon. Needless to say, I sealed every little part on those models. I was so lucky not to lose those pieces I don't want to press my luck again! Beautiful models, I can say, now that my blood pressure is back to normal.

Richard, I apologize for my uncalled for remark "Grow-up"

Takes a brave person to admit they're wrong and appologize! WELL DONE

Sometimes in the heat of the moment our tongue slips a little and we say things we don't really mean so... Back to little cars! Smile
