great stuff Tony, thanks, hope you're planning an essay on interiors soon too.

Well; OK. Click on this: https://diecast.org/community/1_24/the-inside-scoop-on-interiors/
So many engines, so little time to browse. Great stuff Tony. Thanks.
I've always had mixed feelings about engines in our models. I know they add to the realism of the image, but when I think about it, for me, the engines are initially viewed when the model is received, then put in a display case with the hood closed, never to be viewed again. Seems like a great deal of effort and resources for a few minutes of oohs and aahs. My thinking also applies to the "working features" as well.

Nice engine shots. I like the working features on my models.
Nice pics Tony. Thanks for the reminder that some of the most detailed parts of these models are under the hood.
@sizedoesmatter Operating panels and engine details do offer a lot of ways to pose your model. Although having multiples of models with identical engines, I may have one displayed to show the inner workings and the rest, as you say, might as well be curbsides.

While I was shoveling snow I came up with another option, display a 3rd model upside down so the highly detailed under carriage can be viewed for all to see. 😀Â
