I hear it told that eccentric old "Pebbles" Goldstein was the inspiration for the term "went right round the bend".

That` what some of `em say alright.....and some will tell you he went under-ice spelunking for the Bigfootlochness Grandaddy Catfish.....went out early on a Wednesday,with near every damn pocket full of pea gravel, to chuck at the train......the thin ice had other plans for Goldie that day....
To this day,no-one ventures out on Goldstein`s bend ......the one attempt made to haul his Teardrop "house" away, did NOT meet with success
