I only remember seeing one of these 1958 Pontiac Bonneville convertibles. My nemesis owned one in a beautiful bronze color. I don't remember if it was a Tri-Power like this model but it definitely had all the bells and whistles on it. I was just starting to enter the food store where I worked when he drove by, top down, with MY GIRLFRIEND by his side. It was the last I saw of any of them... the car included. It was the spring of 1964.

Probably my favorite Pontiac of all time , came within a hair’s breadth of buying one in 1969 ,had to turn it down for reasons now forgotten,lol

Ah ha! Whether a tape player or radio, there definitely seems to be a gap, between chrome knobs, in the dashboard!

Yes the transportable radio. Hey Rich I'm sorry about your girlfriend running off with the guy who owned this car but can you really blame her? Same thing happened to me as the guy my girlfriend ran off with father was a Ford dealer and the last I saw of her she was in a 1956 Crown Victoria.

I vote for radio; the cassette players were just invented in 1958. Too small for reel-to-reel tape player.
The radio is frequently missing, buyers beware.

yep radio it is. Mines out too, I defy anybody to put it back in! I've never noticed those 'slats' under the headlights on mine before. Trust Richs remarkable pics!
