Being a BATMAN comics fan from the early '60s on and an old car lover, when the BATMAN TV show aired on January 12, 1966 seeing that Batmobile gave me a rush I feel every time still see it today.  I have the 1:18 diecast model and it has it's special display in my collection.

Here are some classic TV shots from my collection of BATMAN and his many villains played by Hollywood's elite.  The show was silly, but both kids and adults could enjoy it and I'd say that makes for good TV.

Batman TV #1 (2014 11 15 06 01 48 UTC)
Batman TV #2 (2014 11 15 06 01 48 UTC)
Batman TV #3 (2014 11 15 06 01 48 UTC)
Batman TV #4 (2014 06 14 18 44 29 UTC)
Batman TV #5 (2014 11 15 06 01 48 UTC)
Batman TV #6 (2014 11 15 06 01 48 UTC)
Batman TV #7 (2014 08 13 09 00 16 UTC)

I was 15 when the show premiered......your pictures re-kindle some of the over-the-top campy joy this show brought to us !!!..

....isn`t that (Leave it to Beaver) Larry Mondelo`s mom in picture 5 ?

....the batpoles are labeled so as to avoid confusion when the "to the batmobile!" call rings out Eat

To all great shots.  Rich is that a 1:24 Batman you showed, or larger scale?  I don't recall seeing one with a opening bonnet.

@carsman1958 I screwed up and put the pics on the wrong forum. It's 1/19 scale.

I have the alleged 1:24 scale Hot Wheels version and the Jada  1:24 with Batman / Robyn figures but neither is true to 1:24 scale!  The 1:1 was a big car @ 225 inches long If memory serves me right when I got them they measured out at about 7.75” long. If scaled right the 1:24 should be about 9.375”that’s a HUGE difference in scale over 1.5” is about three FEET shorter then it should be!  I was a bit disappointed and it makes the HW or Jada models about 1:29-1:30 scale NOT 1:24th
