It seems like Danbury Mint had their own truck division. The fit , finish and parts count always seemed a bit more advanced than their car models over the years. This 1955 White 3000 COE delivery truck in Budweiser livery is just one of their large truck line up. For not only its quality as well as finger fun, I'm really surprised this discontinued model in NIB and MIB only sells in the $100 to $150 range especially as a cross collectible.
Having grown up in the St. Louis area, Budweiser was a really big employer. People were fiercely loyal to the brand. I have these trucks in my collection even though I normally collect trucks.
This is a beautiful model Rich. I am surprised at the relatively low resale prices given that it is such a well made model of a beer truck.
@bob-jackman There's a huge Budweiser plant that I grew up near in Newark, NJ next to Newark airport. As a kid, I was fascinated with the huge animated neon signage that switched from the Budweiser logo to a flying eagle. It still fascinates me today.
